WINE TOURS IN CASABLANCA VALLEY

The Tour to Casablanca Valleys it’s a really nice Excursion near Santiago where you have the chance to try excellent quality wines from this innovative Wine Area and also some red wines from the most traditional Regions in Chile.

Casablanca is a valley transversal to the Chilean territory and close enough to the Pacific coast to receive the cool sea breezes, creating outstanding growing conditions for premium white varieties, showing finesse, elegance and exceptional purity of flavor.

Surrounded by the Coastal Range, you will drive the Route 68 that runs through the middle of the valley like a backbone that connects Santiago with the port of Valparaiso.

During the Tour you will visit 3 wineries and enjoy a great lunch pair with wines.

Our groups are small, from 2 to 8 people, an appropriate size to maintain the level almost like a private tour.

Sample Itinerary

We’ll pick you up from your hotel and set off from Santiago around 9:00 in the morning, heading towards Valle de Casablanca, a 45-60 minutes drive.

Our first stop take us to Bodegas RE, a small family vineyard, formed after a long career in wine, by Pablo Morand and his children. The story is so long, as recent. Long because Pablo is the ninth generation of the first Morand who planted vines in Pe±aflor. And recent because the decision to make wine with his children, professionals in viticulture and oenology, just started at the 2008 season, a process that led to the construction of the wine cellar, where the first elaborate the 2012 harvest.

Bodegas RE, is a concept of wines with unique caracter, based on RE create, RE invent and REveal ancestral wines from the biblical to the wines produced in past centuries by the family in noble and beautiful clay tanks.

Next we continue to Vi±a Quintay. A group of friends from Casablanca gathered together in 2005 to form Vi±a Quintay in order to produce the best sample of Sauvignon Blanc in the valley of Casablanca. Thus began the production of other varieties some years later: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah from the valley of Casablanca, all of extraordinary quality.

Their philosophy is that aromas and flavors reflected in their wines originate and develop in the vineyard. They therefore take special care of every detail and manage the vineyards in a way that is environment friendly, avoiding intervention and extracting their full potential naturally.

Here we are going to compare wines from the tanks and barrel to understand the terroir of Casablanca.

Felipe Espinosa is a chef who has succeeded in combining state-of-the-art techniques with local products, developing an elegant cuisine with pronounced flavors.

After lunch we’ll finish the tour visiting the New Boutique Winery dedicated to create a unique Syrah from this cool whether region.
