My name is Ryan. I’d love to get more personal and tell you who is behind this Exciting Adventure Project! I come from a Hospitality & Wine Background, and in between, have experienced lots of Fun Adventures working in Scotland, London, South Africa, Argentina, Uruguay and as a Sommelier with the Yachts of Seabourn, where I traveled the world. After working in so many places, I wanted to focus more on Multi Day Trips offering a wide range of Adventures from Food & Wine Tours to River Cruises, Hiking, Biking, Sailing, Safari and more!

I was born in Harare, Zimbabwe

When I was 5 years old, due to a very unseen future, we immigrated to South Africa. It was a big risk for my parents, who took a big leap of faith and decided to write our story somewhere else. I remember not long after arriving, I went to the fridge one morning, and the only thing in the fridge was butter, so as a 5 year old, I was confused, woke up my father and said” Daddy! Are we poor? He said: “Why would you say a thing like that?” I said: “because there is only butter in the fridge!” He shot up and from that day onwards things changed. It was not easy in those days to immigrate and take big risks, but having lived in so many countries, that story has always inspired me to take on new adventures!

I was very fortunate to work at The Carnegie Club at Skibo Castle in the Highlands of Scotland

the home of the Great Andrew Carnegie, one of the main men who built America, where I learnt hospitality at it’s best. I loved working as a Concierge at the Covent Garden Hotel in London, where I got the opportunity to meet so many interesting people from all over the world, including famous actors, producers and directors. I gained invaluable experience working for Majestic Wine in London, where I learnt so much about wine! 

Probably the most fun adventure was working as a Sommelier for the Yachts of Seabourn, where I got to travel all over the world, which was one of the reasons, I started this Adventure Project offering Food & Wine Tours, River Cruises, Hiking, Biking, Sailing, Safari and more!

 

I got the opportunity to open a beautiful wine estate in Stellebosch, South Africa called Delaire Graff Estate. My wife is from South America, so we got the opportunity to work in Uruguay at a fabulous Brand called Vik Retreats.

 

Since, then I launched a wine export company together with The Wine Experience offering Food & Wine Experiences to 130 destinations. After COVID there was a big demand to pivot to Multi Day Trips offering a variety of Adventures all under 1 roof with the main objective of giving (you our client) more options to 188 destinations! I am very confident we have everything needed to plan your best trip!
