Casa Lapostolle was founded by the Marnier Lapostolle family, who are also the owners of Grand Marnier liqueur and various Chateaux in Sancerre, France. By creating Casa Lapostolle, the Marnier Lapostolle family intends to continue its unwavering focus on quality that made the Grand Marnier in a worldwide success. His goal is simple and ambitious: to create world-class wines using French expertise recognized and the magnificent terroir of Chile. Each year, after selecting the best lots of wine from older vines, Casa Lapostolle produces a special line of wine called Cuvée Alexandre.
This wine was aged for a minimum of 12 months in French oak with 40% being new and the grapes were made up of 85% Cabernet and 15% Merlot. This wine is highly complex and elegant with well-integrated fruit and oak creating a very attractive and complex range of aromas. Dark fruits such as cherries and blackberries dominate with hints of cedar. Very Bordeaux-like and one to add in the trolley!
